Centrally located, fascinating, modern: the ARENA LEIPZIG is one the most modern and most flexible multi-functional arenas in Europe. Its flair and high-end technology have so far convinced all sport and culture enthusiasts.

Each and every event in the ARENA LEIPZIG develops its individual touch. Intellectual architecture and technical equipment, custom-made service and an unforgettable atmosphere make each sport or cultural event a great success.

The ARENA offers ideal conditions to athletes and coaches for competition as well as for practice. Within the complex easy access is provided to all different areas: backstage, catering, numerous checkrooms, most modern sanitary facilities etc. Separate entrances/exits and additional rooms for coaches, officials and representatives guarantee highest flexibility.



The ARENA offers a well equipped fitness room in the basement, a special sport-scientifically designed track & field practice area and sauna facilities for a perfect balance between physiological stress and relaxation. A separate sanitary area offers room for medical treatment and doping controls.

The ARENA LEIPZIG has very good access to public transportation. It only takes 7 minutes (by streetcar) to go to the main station. Motorists will find sufficient parking lots in front of the ARENA.

The ARENA LEIPZIG welcomes its guests with open arms.

Accessibility
Leipzig is especially known for its short distances. The ARENA is as close as five minutes to the heart of the Saxonian metropolis. The center with its old buildings and shopping streets, as well as the famous Station Promenades are only a short walk away!

Large but pleasant, professional but nevertheless personal: the main hall is the heart of the ARENA LEIPZIG. It is flexible and offers most modern equipment. For Germany it has a unique variability. Mobile grandstands enable the organizer to adjust to every different kind of event.

Track & field meetings can be held before a crowd of e.g. 4,000. Up to 12,000 people fit into the ARENA at a rock concert. Furthermore, championships of the most diverse kinds of sport such as tennis, handball or fencing find an optimal environment within the building complex. The pneumatic 200-Meter-oval track for track & field is unique.

In addition to the great main hall of the ARENA, there are two small gymnasiums within the facility increasing the transformation ability with its functional mechanism. Thus the Judo-gym, designed for, judo, wrestling and gymnastics and room for 150 spectators can easily be transformed e.g. into a press area. The multifunctional gymnasium can be divided into thirds by two curtains. It can be used for practice, warming up and competition with a capacity of 300 seats for spectators. It is also suitable to be used as a VIP or catering area.

Office FIE, office TD. Area for the officials, weapon control room, doping control room, accreditation, information, pressing and media centers, sauna, fitness room, area for physiotherapy and medical treatment.
